meet the tutors
Dr Fiona Doherty is a teaching assistant at the University of Edinburgh specialising in the history of analytic philosophy. She studied for her PhD in Cambridge, her MPhil in St Andrews and her BSc in Glasgow, from whence she hails.
Stephen Ryan is a doctoral candidate at the University of Edinburgh, specialising in analytic epistemology and philosophical methodology. He has previously worked in healthcare research. Before that he read History at the University of Cambridge.
Joe Dewhurst is a doctoral candidate at the University of Edinburgh, specialising in the relationship between common-sense and scientific understandings of the mind. He has previously completed an MA and an MSc in philosophy, both also at the University of Edinburgh.
Dr Joey Pollock is a teaching assistant at the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on the relationships between theories of meaning and thought content, on the one hand, and theories of communication and testimony, on the other. She completed her PhD at the University of Edinburgh in 2014.
